Art In The Slums
Children in slums live in unbelievable filth. Open sewers run outside their front doors. Bugs burrow into the mud floors where they sleep. Houses are stacked together as tightly as a deck of cards. Toilets are few and flies are everywhere. But the children have a vision of a clean, greener earth…a place with flowers and trees and air that feels good to breathe. In El Zaite, the children put this inner vision on paper.
